In this session we will review EMF from the ground up. This is an introduction to EMF for users who have never used the product. We will cover the server, logs, maintenance, and even build a few basic processes. Additionally, we’ll cover the implementation and configuration of a selection of the 70+ pre-defined processes which Aptean has built and are ready for use in your environment. Finally, we will close the session with a Q&A session to review any questions you have about EMF.

Come hear what we have done and share what you have done to solve same or similar business process tasks.

Improving our overall Maintenance approach to Preventive Maintenance, Break/Fix, MRO Procurement, A/P and costing based on FIFO and overall line efficiencies at Berner Food & Beverage was our goal. With Aptean’s acquisition of TabWare and the interface from TabWare to Ross and Ross to Tabware, our maintenance and technology team worked together to transform the maintenance department approach with the TabWare CMMS system. This session will take you through the process of converting from an existing CMMS system to TabWare CMMS with Ross ERP integration using Option 1.

We’ll discuss:
  • Guidance and expertise that our Aptean and Berner partnership has provided to convert from multiple CMMS systems to Tabware CMMS
  • Wins and challenges we have experienced

Creating a Bill of Lading for Bin Transfers between Physical Warehouses when using One Logical Warehouse in Ross
Kathy LaBudde, Business Analyst at Berner Food & Beverage LLC, a private label consumer packaged goods food and beverage manufacturing company, will share the company's process of creating a Bill of Lading for “shuttles” between physical warehouses under one Logical Warehouse in Ross.

Come hear what we have done and share what you have done to solve same or similar business process tasks. With Berner’s current expansion, our onsite warehouse space was overtaken by production lines, which created a need for automated bill of lading creation for shuttles between our facilities. This transaction is a Data Collection Bin Transfer but did not satisfy trucking documentation needs.
We’ll discuss the following:
  • Use of “logical” warehouse for ease of user visibility to inventory and MRP/MPS
  • Data Collection Bin Transfer to create Bill of Lading for transportation documentation
  • Tracking of shuttles between facilities including number of transfers and time between locations
  • The result is a document stored in custom Ross table tracking the LPNs moved, Carrier information, and user/time stamps.

Midwest Groundcovers, one of the largest container nurseries in the Midwest States, undertook a significant “Lean Flow” project that was implemented in 2017. EDI Partnerships with Integration to Ross ERP – Automating the Function
Pam Gesin, Senior System Analyst at Berner Food & Beverage LLC, a private label consumer packaged goods food and beverage manufacturing company, will share the company's trials and tribulations of automating their EDI process via SPS Commerce with Ross ERP.

Our goal was to automate the order process in and the invoice process out between our EDI partners and Ross ERP.  This would improve the overall efficiencies (speed and accuracy) of the whole EDI process at Berner Food & Beverage.  This session will highlight our lessons learned and issues found when implementing the Extended EDI automation solution.

We’ll discuss the following:
  • Guidance and expertise that our Aptean and Berner partnership (using Aptean Services) has provided when implementing our EDI Automation process
  • Prep work needed within the Ross ERP system
  • Define and optimize our process flow to/from Ross and SPS Commerce via EMF events
  • The end result is better accuracy, consistent data and time savings

Come hear what “gotchas” we found, the need to use EDI Extended and using EMF to automate the FTP download and upload process.  Share what you have done and any issues you found when implementing your own EDI automation process.

This session will look into how to help your Excel users get their data from the Ross system faster using tools to help optimize their efficiency.

We will be looking at how most basic user defined queries built in Excel MS Query editor are very inefficient.
